Publication Ethics
Kashf Journal of Linguistics adheres to the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. This policy outlines the responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the journal to ensure the integrity and quality of published research.
1. Authorship
- Authorship contribution: All authors listed on a publication must have made significant intellectual contributions to the research and writing. Contributions should be specified, and individuals who do not meet authorship criteria should not be included.
- Order of authorship: The order of authorship should reflect the relative contributions of authors to the work. If there is any dispute over authorship, it should be resolved through discussion and agreement among the authors.
- Ghost authorship and guest authorship: Ghostwriting and guest authorship are not allowed. All authors listed on a publication must have actively participated in the research and writing process.
2. Research Integrity
- Originality and plagiarism: All submitted research must be original and the author's own work. Plagiarism in any form will not be tolerated, and any detected plagiarism will result in rejection of the manuscript.
- Data fabrication and falsification: Data must be accurately reported and presented. Fabrication or falsification of data is a serious ethical violation and will result in retraction of the published article.
- Conflicts of interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could be perceived to influence their research or writing. These conflicts will be considered by the editors during the review process.
3. Review Process
- Double-blind review: Kashf Journal of Linguistics uses a double-blind review process, where reviewers are not aware of the authors' identities and vice versa. This ensures fair and unbiased evaluation of manuscripts.
- Confidentiality: Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts and all associated information.
- Objectivity and bias: Reviewers must provide objective and unbiased evaluations of manuscripts based on the scientific merit of the research. Personal opinions or biases should not influence the review process.
4. Editorial Responsibilities
- Fairness and objectivity: Editors must strive to ensure fairness and objectivity in all editorial decisions. Manuscripts are evaluated based on their scientific merit, and personal or professional relationships should not influence the decision-making process.
- Retraction and correction: Editors have the responsibility to retract or correct published articles if significant errors or ethical violations are identified.
- Communication with authors and reviewers: Editors should maintain open and transparent communication with authors and reviewers throughout the editorial process.
